St. Bartholomew’s Church
St Bartholomew’s Church is a large 13th Century Parish Church often described as a mini Cathedral.

The chancel has a famous tomb of Blanche Mortimer of 1347, with an adjoining chapel with a fine mid 17th century tomb of Sir John Kyrle and Sybil Scudamore, 14th century tomb and monuments, very fine newly restored wall plaques and hatchments marble wall plaques to Money and Money-Kyrle families.

Nave with north and south arcades of 4 bays with cylindrical columns with Green Men. Wooden effigy thought to be Walter de Helyon, a Franklin C1357, 6 fine Charles Earner Kempe stained glass windows, internationally famous yew tree over 1500 years old.
