Three Choirs Festival
This festival is the world’s greatest (and oldest) classical choral festival, rotating annually between Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester.

In 2015 the festival will celebrate its 300th anniversary in Hereford, but in the meantime you can enjoy over 80 events in Worcester from 26 July – 2 August, 2014 featuring in particular the Festival Chorus, resident symphony orchestra (the Philharmonia Orchestra) and guest international artists performing the choral ‘greats’ in the Cathedral.

Guest Conductors: John Wilson, Juraj Valčuha, Baldur Brönnimann and Nigel Short

Guest Artists include: Susan Gritton, Sarah Fox, David Wilson-Johnson, Brindley Sherratt, Julia Doyle, Håken Hardenberger, Tenebrae, Academy of Ancient Music, Aronowitz Ensemble, Fitzwilliam Quartet

Programme to include:Elgar The Apostles, Britten War Requiem, Vaughan Williams The Lark Ascending, Bach B minor Mass, Walton Henry V, Beamish Trumpet Concerto
